Spreading the elbows in Salaah

Q. What is the ruling of a man spreading his elbows out in Sajdah? It sometimes causes inconvenience to others in Salaah.

A. A man should spread his elbows to his right and left, thus, exposing the sides of his body whilst performing the Sajdah in Salaah individually. Thus, a man should not spread his elbows out whilst performing Sajdah in a congregational Salaah as it causes others inconvenience in Salaah. (Shaami 1/503)
