Keeping the fasts of Shawwal consecutively or individually

Q. I had two questions regarding the keeping of the six fasts of Shawwaal?

1. Does it have be kept immediately after Eid-ul-Fitr?

2. Does it have to be kept consecutively or can it be kept individually?

A. The six fasts of Shawwal may be kept after Eid-ul-Fit or anytime during the month of Shawwal. It may also be kept consecutively or individually. In any event, in doing so, a person will earn the reward of keeping the six fasts of Shawwal Inshallah.
