What is the responsibility of a son to his mother and a brother to his sister if she is a widow?

Q. What is the responsibility of a son to his mother and a brother to his sister if she is a widow?

A. Islam teaches us to be caring, kind and generous to our family members, especially ones close family members.

As a son, it his responsibility to ensure the wellbeing and comfort of his mother especially if she is a widow.

As a brother, it is also his responsibility to ensure the wellbeing and comfort of his sister/sisters if they are not married. If they are married, it is the responsibility of their husbands to do so.
