Q. Is there any significance in a Muslim turning eight years old?

A. There is no significance of a person turning eighty years old.

However, Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam mentioned in a Hadeeth:

أَعْذَرَ اللهُ إلى امْرئٍ أخَّرَ أَجَلَهُ حَتّى بلَّغَهُ ستِّينَ سنةً

‘ Allah excuses a person whose life He lengthened till a person reaches sixty years of a age.” (Bukhari)
