Is it considered greed to desire more than one wife?

Q. My question is whether should a man desires another wife whether this would be seen as excess or greed I need to know who the dislike of worldly pleasures equates to having more than one wife. JazakAllah ghair.

A. It is permissible for a man to marry one, two, three or four wives.

It is not considered to be greed of this worldly life if there is a genuine need to marry and maintain ones chastity.
