Can a man wear a Silver ring with Titanium?

Q. If a ring is made of silver but it has a portion of titanium in it, is it permissible for a man to wear it?

A. The major content of a ring determines whether or not it is classified as a silver ring. Thus, if a silver ring contains more than 50% of silver and a small content of titanium, for e.g. 99% silver and 1% titanium, it would be permissible for a man to wear the ring provided that the silver content does not exceed 4.374 grams.
