Are all types of silk prohibited for men?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> Sayyiduna Abu Musa Al-Ashari (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam said: <em>\u201cGold and silk have been permitted for the females of my Ummah, and forbidden to the males.\u201d <\/em><strong>(Musnad Ahmad)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the above Hadith, the type of silk, which is not allowed for men, is <strong>pure silk.<\/strong> It does not refer to manufactured silk, which is commonly and readily available in the market.
