Salam There is a question. Is Walima allowed before Rukhsati as per shariat?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> Consummation of a Nikah is not a pre-condition for the validity of a Walima. If a Nikah is not consummated and a Walima took place, the Walima will be valid. However, it is Sunnah to consummate a Nikah before a Walima takes place.<\/p>\n<p>Consummation of a Nikah refers to husband and wife being in seclusion such that there remains no barrier between them to engage in conjugal relations.
