If my child who is 1 year old was given a gift of a kruger coin by his grandparents, who pays the zakaat on this? The non baalig child or his parent?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> If your child received a Kruger coin as a gift from his grandparents, the Kruger coin belongs to your child. Since the Kruger coin belongs to your child, Zakaat is not obligatory on your child as he\/she is not mature (Baaligh).
