During Hajj, I was told that it is Mustahab to shave the hair and cut the nails before entering into the state of Ihraam but if I am doing Qurbani, I should not shave my hair and cut my nails. Please clarify. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> If a person performing Hajj intends to perform Qurbani, then he\/she should still avoid shaving any hair or cutting any nails before entering into the state of Ihraam of Hajj during the first ten days or on the 8<sup>th<\/sup> of Zul-Hijjah.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The ruling of it being preferable (Mustahab)<\/strong> to shave the hair and cut the nails before entering into the state of Ihraam <strong>does not apply to one performing Hajj and intending Qurbani.<\/strong> They should not shave their hair or cut their nails until their Qurbani animal is slaughtered\/until they exit the state of Ihraam <strong>(Fataawa Darul Uloom Zakariyyah 3\/370)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Allah Ta\u2019ala Knows Best<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mufti Ismaeel Bassa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>themufti.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shaving the hair &amp; clipping the nails for the Haaji performing Qurbani Q.
