How many times a day did the Prophet Sallallallahu Alayhi Wasallam eat? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A. <\/strong>It was the common practice of Rasulullalalah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam to partake of meals <strong>twice a day<\/strong> if meals were available. This would be the <strong>Morning (Ghada\u2019)<\/strong> and the <strong>evening (Ashaa\u2019)<\/strong> meals. Most of the time, food was not readily available for a meal in which case, he (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) would observe fast.<\/p>\n<p>Sayyidatuna Aaisha Radhiyallahu Anha reports: <em>\u201cThe family of Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam did not eat to their fill the bread of wheat for the morning and evening meals beyond three days consecutively till he passed away.\u201d<\/em> <strong>(Musnad Abu Ya\u2019la)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sayyidatuna Aaisha Radhiyallahu Anha reports: <em>\u201cThere were many occasions where Rasulullallah Sallallahy Alayhi Wasallam would call for his morning meal but there would be nothing available.
