If a woman in Haidh or Nifaas reads or hears someone recite a verse of Sajdah Tilawaat from the Quran, is it necessary upon her to make Sajdah Tilaawat after she becomes pure? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A. <\/strong>The performance of Sajdah Tilaawat (caused by reading or hearing a verse of Sajdah Tilaawat) is <strong>not necessary<\/strong> (Waajib) upon a woman in the state of menstruation (Haidh) or Post Natal Bleeding (Nifaas). Hence, if a woman in the state of Menstruation or Post Natal Bleeding has read or heard someone recite a verse of Sajdah Tilaawat, it will not be necessary (Waajib) upon her to perform it after she becomes pure. <strong>(Badaai-us-Sanaai\u2019 1\/186)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>N.B.<\/strong> It is not permissible to recite a verse, including a verse of Sajdah Tilaawat in the state of Menstruation and Post Natal Bleeding.
