Is it permissible for a person to charge a fee for cupping? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> There is no prohibition for one to charge a fee for offering a cupping (Hijaamah) service. It is totally permissible.<\/p>\n<p>Ibn Abaas Radhiyallahu Anhu reports that <em>Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam was cupped and he paid the man who cupped him his<\/em> <em>fee.<\/em> <em>If was not allowed, he would not have paid him.<\/em> <strong>(Bukhari)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>N.B. The Ahaadith that mention the word Khabith (evil) does not mean unlawful. It simply categorises it to be a discouraged practice or profession to charge a fee for.
