I am a confectioner who works from home and I\u2019ve seen many fellow Muslim bakers advertising for Diwali..I want to know if this is allowed, according to my understanding I\u2019m pretty sure it isn\u2019t..<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> A Muslim is not allowed to celebrate or help and assist in the celebrations of non-Muslims that are symbolic to their beliefs and customs. This includes making a \u2018Diwali\u2019 cake that is symbolic to their beliefs and customs and selling it to them.<\/p>\n<p>Allah Ta\u2019ala mentions in the Qur\u2019aan:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHelp each other in righteousness and piety, and <\/em><strong><em>do not help each other in sin and aggression.<\/em><\/strong><em> Fear Allah.
