If a person passed away during the day on a Thursday but was buried at night, does the person get the benefit of passing away on a Friday? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> The glad tidings for one passing on a Friday is mentioned in several narrations. Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Amr Radhiyallah Anhu reports that he heard Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam saying:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cWhoever passes away on the day of Jumuah or <\/em><strong><em>on the night of Jumuah,<\/em><\/strong><em> they will be saved from the trials of the grave\u201d <\/em><strong>(Musnad Ahmad)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, these and other similar narrations refer to anyone who passes away between the <strong>sunset of Thursday until the sunset of Friday.<\/strong> It does not refer to one passing away during the day of Thursday and being buried during the night of Thursday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Allah Ta\u2019ala Knows Best<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mufti Ismaeel Bassa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>themufti.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Passing away on Thursday and being buried at night Q.
