Does a person in the state of Janaabat, a woman in the state of Haidh or Nifaas, a Majnoon or a child have to make Sajdah if they recite a verse of Sajdah Tilaawat or hear it being recited?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A. <\/strong>In the enquired case, the performance of Sajdah Tilaawat becomes <strong>compulsory (Waajib)<\/strong> on the following people:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1) A person who <strong>recites or hears<\/strong> a verse of Sajdah Tilaawat whilst in the state of major impurity <strong>(Janaabat).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) A person who <strong>hears <\/strong>a verse of Sajdah Tilaawat <strong>from another person <\/strong>who is in the state of major impurity <strong>(Janaabat).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3) A person who <strong>hears<\/strong> a verse of Sajdah Tilaawat from a woman who is in the state of menstruation <strong>(Haidh)<\/strong> or Post-Natal Bleeding <strong>(Nifaas),<\/strong> or a child <strong>(Non-Baaligh)<\/strong> who can differentiate between right and wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the performance of Sajdah Tilawaat is <strong>not compulsory (Waajib)<\/strong> on the following people:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A person who <strong>recites or hears<\/strong> a verse of Sajdah Tilaawat while in the state of menstruation <strong>(Haidh)<\/strong> or Post-Natal Bleeding <strong>(Nifaas),<\/strong> or is mentally incapacitated <strong>(Majnoon),<\/strong> or a child <strong>(Non-Baaligh).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>N.B.<\/strong> Whilst it is <strong>sinful<\/strong> to recite a verse of Sajdah Tilaawat in the state of major impurity <strong>(Janaabat),<\/strong> menstruation <strong>(Haidh)<\/strong> and Post-Natal Bleeding <strong>(Nifaas),<\/strong> the relevant rules as stated above are still applicable.<strong> (Shaami 2\/107 \u2013 Ahsanul Fataawa 4\/60)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Allah Ta\u2019ala Knows Best<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mufti Ismaeel Bassa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>themufti.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Performance of Sajdah Tilaawat In The State of Major Impurity (Janaabat) Q.
