If a person drinks water whilst making Ghusl, does it count as gargling the mouth and will the Ghusl be valid?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A. <\/strong>There are 3 obligatory (Fardh) acts in Ghusl:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Cleansing the mouth thoroughly<\/li><li>Rinsing the nostrils thoroughly<\/li><li>Passing water over the entire body<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In the enquired case, if one simply <strong>drank water<\/strong> during Ghusl without actually cleansing the mouth thoroughly, the Ghusl will be <strong>invalid and incomplete.<\/strong> However, <strong>if the water reached the sides and the entire mouth<\/strong> before drinking water, the Ghusl will be considered <strong>valid and complete.
