On our Umrah Trip, we were fortunate to touch the Ka&#8217;bah in the state of Ihraam whilst performing Umrah. A friend told me that I have to give a Damm for touching the Ka&#8217;bah because it is perfumed. Is this correct Mufti Saheb? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A. <\/strong>It is not permissible to apply perfume in the state of Ihraam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, if perfume is applied or transferred onto one&#8217;s body by touching a perfumed area or material or by touching the Ka&#8217;bah or its cloth that is perfumed in the state of Ihraam, then the following penalties will apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a. If an <strong>entire portion of one&#8217;s body<\/strong> such as the hand or face is perfumed, then a <strong>Damm<\/strong> will apply i.e. slaughtering a sheep or goat within the confines of the Haram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>b.
