There are many shampoos, hair conditioners, creams and make-ups available in the market Today that contain Placental Enzymes. Is it permissible to use and apply such products that contain Placental Enzymes? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A. <\/strong>The <strong>usage, application<\/strong>, <strong>purchase and sale<\/strong> of products containing <strong>Placental Enzymes<\/strong> such as shampoos, hair conditioners, creams etc. is <strong>permissible<\/strong> provided that the Placental Enzymes are <strong>not <\/strong>derived from <strong>human or pig sources. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the Placenta is a non-living organism (\u0645\u0627 \u0644\u0627 \u062a\u062d\u0644\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u062d\u064a\u0627\u0629), it is not subject to the legal Shari\u2019 processes of slaughter to render it permissible or Halaal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, it is permissible to use, apply, purchase and sell products that contain Placental Enzymes regardless of whether or not the legal Shari&#8217; processes of slaughter was observed provided that they are not derived from human or pig sources. <strong>(Shaami 5\/73 &#8211; Al-Bahrur-Raaiq 1\/112 &#8211; Inaayah 1\/96)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Allah Ta\u2019ala Knows Best<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mufti Ismaeel Bassa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>themufti.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Can one use and apply products that contain Placental Enzymes?&nbsp; Q.
