Can a woman in Haidh recite Quran as a form of Eesale Sawaab for the deceased? Like reciting 1000 times Surah Kauthar for Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> The general rule is that a woman in the state of menstruation is not permitted to read any verse of the Qur\u2019an. However, it is permissible for her to read verses of the Qur\u2019an as a form of Dua, such as Surah Fatihah, Ayat al-Kursi, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, it will be\u00a0permissible\u00a0for a woman in the state of menstruation to read Surah Kauthar 1000 times or any other verse of the Quran as Eesale Sawaab as it is a form of Dua, for Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam or for any other person.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, the intention must be of Dua and not to recite the Qur\u2019an.
