I just wanted to make sure, if a person made intention of going to stanger from durban for 10 days but during the stay they travelled to eshowe for 1 day and came back to stanger the same day, will a person remain a musaffir or would not because the intention was to stay in stanger? Jazakallah khair<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> In principle, if a person intends to travel for a distance of 78 kilometers or more from a location to a destination and such a person does not intend to stay at any destination for 15 days or more, then such a person will be categorized as a <em>Musaafir <\/em>(traveler).<\/p>\n<p>In the enquired situation, the following is understood.<\/p>\n<p>a) Your travel distance is 78 Kilometers and more from Durban to Stanger<\/p>\n<p>b) Your travel distance is 78 Kilometers and more from Stanger to Eshowe<\/p>\n<p>c) You have not intended to stay in Stanger or Eshowe for 15 days or more<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, you would be categorized as a <em>Musaafir <\/em>(traveler) in Stanger and Eshowe and all the laws of a <em>Musaafir <\/em>(traveler) will apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Allah Ta\u2019ala Knows Best<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mufti Ismaeel Bassa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>themufti.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Multiple destinations of travel and the laws of a traveller (Musaafir) Q.
