What can a Zakaat recipient use Zakaat money received for? 

Q. I am a student of Deen who stays in a Madrassah in a foreign country. I receives zakat money for my studies, can you tell me what I can use these monies for? Will it be permissible to use some of the money for a short trip during the vacation time? 

A. If you are an eligible recipient of Zakaat and you have received Zakaat money, you may use the Zakaat money given to you as you wish. There is no restriction in this regard.
