Q. Is the purchase and sale of Silkworms and their Eggs permissible? 

A. Silkworms are used for various beneficial purposes and objectives. There is no prohibition in the purchase and sale of silkworms and their eggs. It is permissible to purchase and sell silkworms and silkworm eggs. (Shaami 5/68 – Al-Muheet-Ul-Burhaani 6/347 – Al-Bahrur-Raaiq 6/85)
