Taking a bath after a hair-cut

Q. Is it required to take a bath after a hair-cut in a barber shop? In India, hair cutting shops cater for all communities with varying economic and religious back grounds as well as hygienic practices. My question is: for prayers, is it required for one who got a hair cut in such a shop to take a bath?

A. It is not necessary to take a shower after cutting ones hair at a barber shop.

However, after taking a haircut, it would be best to clean oneself before performing Salaah.
